In case the Marriage Registration Officer knowingly cause to conclude a marriage or register any marriage contrary to this Act or cause to violate any procedure prescribed in this Act or Rules framed thereunder to conclude or register a marriage, such officer shall be punished with an imprisonment upto Six months or fine upto One Thousand Rupees or the both.
